Thank you so much for your interest in commissioning me! These Terms of Service are here to make the commission process clear, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

By booking a commission, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms. If you have any questions or there is something you would like to discuss before booking, please feel free to contact me.

1. BEFORE BOOKING

​

Before I begin working, I will need references and information about your commission.

You can send me anything that helps me understand your idea, such as:

​

• Character references

• Previous artwork

• Photos

• Quick sketches

• Pinterest boards

• Moodboards

• Written descriptions

• Clothing, pose, or environment references

​

References are used to understand your vision and should not be expected to be reproduced exactly. Pinterest boards and moodboards are considered inspiration rather than artwork to be copied.

Please make sure to check my work on Instagram before commissioning me, so you can be sure that my artistic style is what you are looking for.

I reserve the right to decline a commission if it is not suitable for my style, availability, or personal boundaries.

2. PRICING

​

The final price of a commission depends on the complexity of the requested artwork.

Character prices may increase depending on elements such as:

​

• Detailed or intricate clothing

• Armor

• Complex accessories

• Elaborate hairstyles

• Highly detailed characters or designs

• Additional elements requested by the client

​

Backgrounds

​

Backgrounds are priced according to their complexity.

​

• Simple background: FREE
  This includes a plain colour, simple texture, or similarly minimal background.

• Complex background: from 70€+
  The final price will depend on the amount of detail and work required.

​

The final price will always be discussed and agreed upon before I begin the commission.

​

3. PERSONAL USE

​

Unless a commercial license has been purchased, commissions are intended for personal use only.

Personal use may include:

​

• Sharing the artwork on your personal social media

• Using it as a profile picture or wallpaper

• Printing the artwork for yourself

• Displaying it privately at home

• Sharing it with friends or family

​

Personal-use artwork may not be used to generate income or as part of a commercial/business activity.

You may not:

​

• Sell or resell the artwork

• Use it on merchandise for sale

• Use it for advertising or promotional campaigns

• Use it for a commercial book, product, or publication

• Claim the artwork as your own

• Sell, transfer, or sublicense the artwork to another person or business

• Modify the artwork without my permission

If you are unsure whether your intended use is personal or commercial, please ask me before purchasing.

4. COMMERCIAL LICENSES

​

A commercial license is required whenever the artwork will be used for a business, commercial product, publication, advertising, or any activity intended to generate income.

​

Examples include:

​

• Book covers or illustrations for commercially published books

• Merchandise such as prints, stickers, bookmarks, clothing, mugs, etc.

• Advertising and promotional material

• Brand or business content

• Websites or social media accounts used for commercial purposes

• Paid or monetized online content

• Marketing campaigns

• Products or publications sold to the public

The commercial license is an additional fee on top of the commission price.

​

Promotional License

​

• +10% of the base price

​

For artwork used to promote a book, product, project, or business without directly selling the artwork itself.

​

Non-Exclusive Commercial License

​

• +40% of the base commission price

​

A non-exclusive license allows you to use the artwork commercially according to the agreed terms, while I retain the right to use, license, or sell the same artwork to other clients or for other projects.

​

Exclusive Commercial License

​

• +60% of the base commission price

​

An exclusive license gives you exclusive commercial use of the artwork.

I will not sell or license the same artwork to another person or business for commercial purposes.

 

An exclusive license does not mean that copyright is transferred to the client. I remain the copyright holder and artist of the work.

​

PRINTS LICENSE

​

If you would like to use one of my existing illustrations to create and sell prints, a commercial license is required.

Prints may only be produced and sold while the license is active.

​

Prints License Duration

​

The Prints License is valid for 2 years from the date the license becomes active.

​

After the 2-year period, you may no longer produce or sell new prints using the artwork unless the license is renewed.

If you would like to continue selling prints after the license expires, please contact me and we can discuss renewing the license.

​

Any use of the artwork outside the agreed terms of the Prints License must be discussed with me beforehand and may require an additional fee.

​

Please note that purchasing prints of my artwork directly from me is not the same as purchasing a Prints License. A license is only necessary if you want to reproduce my artwork yourself and sell those reproductions.

​

5. COPYRIGHT & ARTIST RIGHTS

​

I am the original artist and creator of all artwork I produce.

I retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to the artwork.

​

Purchasing a commission or a non-exclusive commercial license does not transfer ownership or copyright to the client. It only grants the specific usage rights agreed upon.

​

I reserve the right to display completed artwork in my portfolio, website, Instagram, and other promotional spaces, unless we have agreed otherwise beforehand.

​

If the artwork is related to an unreleased book, project, announcement, or other confidential material, please let me know before the commission begins. We can agree on when the artwork may be publicly shared.

​

6. SOCIAL MEDIA & CREDIT

​​

I will provide two versions of the finished artwork:

​

• A version with my signature, intended for sharing publicly.

• A version without my signature, intended for your personal use.

​

If you share the artwork publicly on social media, please use the signed version and credit me whenever possible.

The signature must not be removed from the version intended for public sharing.

7. COMMISSION PROCESS

​

Sketch

​

Once the commission has been booked and the necessary information has been provided, I will begin with the sketch.

This is the main stage for discussing composition, pose, character details, and the overall direction of the illustration.

You may request changes during this stage until we reach an agreed direction for the final artwork.

Once the sketch has been approved, I will move forward with the illustration.

​

B&W / Colour

​

Once the sketch has been approved, I will begin developing the illustration in black and white, focusing on the lighting, shadows, values, and overall rendering of the piece.

​

Before moving into the final colouring stage, I will create a colour study to establish the general palette, atmosphere, and mood of the illustration. This study is intended as a guide for the final piece, so the colours may vary slightly during the final rendering as the artwork develops.

​

Once the black-and-white rendering is complete, I will begin applying the final colours and bringing the illustration to its finished look.

​

Minor colour adjustments can still be discussed during this stage, as long as they remain consistent with the approved concept and overall direction of the artwork.

​

Final Artwork

​

Once the illustration is completed, I will send you the finished artwork for approval.

Small adjustments or corrections can be discussed at this point.

​

Requests that substantially change an already approved part of the illustration, introduce a completely new concept, or require significant reworking may involve an additional fee.

​

Once the final artwork has been approved, further major changes will be considered a new commission.

​

If a correction is necessary because of a mistake on my part, I will of course correct it without an additional charge.

​

I will keep you updated throughout the process and share important progress so you can follow the development of your illustration.

​

8. PAYMENT

​

All prices are in euros (€).

Payment is made through PayPal. Any PayPal transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

There are two payment options:

​

Option 1 — Split payment

• 50% after sketch approval

• 50% upon completion of the artwork

​

Option 2 — Full payment

• 100% after sketch approval

​

The commission will not be considered fully paid until the total amount has been received.

Final files will only be delivered once full payment has been completed.

​

9. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

​​

If you decide to cancel your commission after I have started working on it, 50% of the total commission price will be retained to cover the work and time already invested.

Any remaining amount paid will be refunded.

​

If the commission has not yet been started, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss the cancellation.

​

If I need to cancel a commission myself, I reserve the right to do so and will refund the appropriate amount according to the circumstances of the cancellation.

​

Cancelled commissions may not be used by the client, including sketches, unfinished artwork, or final artwork.

​

10. COMMUNICATION & DELAYS

​

Communication is an important part of the commission process.

I kindly ask clients to respond to progress updates and approval requests in a reasonable amount of time. I cannot continue to the next stage when I am waiting for necessary feedback or approval.

​

If communication is significantly delayed, the commission may be paused and the completion date may need to be adjusted accordingly.

​

If you know that you will be unavailable for a period of time, please let me know beforehand.

​

11. DELIVERY

​

The final artwork will be delivered digitally through WeTransfer, Google Drive, or email, depending on what is most convenient.

​

You will receive the agreed final files in high-resolution digital format.

​

Please note that files sent through WeTransfer may expire after a limited period. Make sure to download and safely store your files once they are delivered.

​

No physical products are included unless specifically agreed beforehand.

​

12. AI, MACHINE LEARNING & GENERATIVE TOOLS

​

My artwork is original work created by me.

My artwork, sketches, drafts, references created by me, and final illustrations may not be:

​

• Uploaded to generative AI tools

• Used as prompts or inputs for AI image generation

• Used to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems

• Added to datasets or training databases

• Used to develop, test, or improve generative models

• Scraped or collected for AI training purposes

• Used to create derivative AI-generated artwork

​

The client may not authorize any third party to use my artwork for these purposes either.

This restriction applies regardless of whether the AI tool is publicly available, privately operated, free, or paid.

 

Any unauthorized AI or machine-learning use constitutes a violation of these Terms of Service and may result in the immediate termination of any license granted to the client, without refund.​

​

13. FINAL AGREEMENT

​

By commissioning me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

If you have any questions about personal use, commercial licensing, exclusivity, copyright, or any other part of the process, please contact me before making your payment.

I want the commission process to be enjoyable and straightforward for both of us, so please don't hesitate to ask if you are unsure about anything.
